Stewardship Notes: A Lesson For Children

Here is a family idea about stewardship that can be used by parents and grandparents to teach biblical principals. Take a chest, preferable one that looks like a treasure chest and place a small stack of one-dollar bills in it. Let the children find the chest of money. Once they do then talk to them about the first thing that we do with what we have is give back to God from our abundance as God gives to us; then we set some aside for the future, then we give to all we owe, and finally we live off of what is left. In other words we try and live a balanced life and live a life within our means. Paul, in many of his letters talks about working so that we have enough to both take care of our own and give to those in need.
